Narumi HMUA

Narumi is a New York–based Hair & Makeup Artist working across fashion, commercial, and editorial projects.

Originally from Japan, she began her career in Tokyo and now works between New York and Japan, collaborating on projects in both locations. Her experience includes a wide range of productions such as advertising, fashion shoots, music videos, runway shows, as well as bridal and film projects.

In addition to her work in fashion and media, Narumi also has experience in traditional Japanese styling, including kimono dressing and styling.

In Japan, she has provided hair and makeup for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, as well as working on institutional productions such as Gakushuin University.

Narumi is also experienced in working with diverse hair textures and skin tones, developed through her work in New York. She approaches each project with attention to detail and adaptability to different creative directions and on-set environments.

She received the Grand Prix at the Shiseido Beauty Innovator Award and has also worked as a guest instructor at beauty schools in Japan.
